In the bubbling liquid of a solution you swill and dart around.
This is your primordial soup, your beginning, this is lowliest of the low, and you have no intention of staying here.
Beyond being limited to the meager amounts of nutrition that is fed to you through the mixture, there is a disturbing lack of mental stimulation.
Apart from the interactions between your residing liquid and the laboratory air whenever the Professor or one of its students arrive to feed you, you know nothing of the surrounding landscape. That too will soon change.
From whence did you crawl?

Underground study of disgruntled Magistrate Dujourne of Witheroak
Stewing in your pot, while you plot your soon to be imminent revenge on your creators, for creating you, something happens.
One of the Professor's incompetent assistant apprentices must have slipped and caught themselves on your container, which cracks, and you slip away into them.
Freedom have never tasted so much like apprentice.
Unfortunately, the Magistrate is present for this occurrence, and is now in the middle of a spiel about the difficulty of acquiring decent help. While doing her very best to keep her distance, and being astute enough to relocate herself to the other side of the room.
You make use of your senses as you probe them around the lab space for clues about your location and potential useful stuff.
Where are you? The study, you find, beyond being filled with grime covered books and scrolls full of scribbles, also have..
[] Skulls filled with the manic intelligence of their former living avatars, spirits forced into glass containers, and beakers with foul substances.
[] Pentacles drawn directly into the floor and reinforced with metals whose mere sight makes your existences quiver.
[] Cages. There are bodies in them, some are twitching, some are dead, others stare blankly at the current commotion.
[] Tendrils of Climbing Vines barely being kept in check by being grown from hovering flower pots.

You spot Tendrils of Climbing Vines barely being kept in check by being grown from hovering flower pots.
Then you notice a large reinforced glass box toward the back behind you keeping a Gelatinous Cube contained.
The Magistrate have now vacated the locale, and you realise that the apprentice is writing on the floor for some unexplainable reason, heh.
You spot a clear reflective surface on the back off the door the Magistrate disappeared through. Not that this discovery helps you much, as it seems that you do not possess any way of 'seeing', most annoying.
In any case, the poor fool on the floor have stopped screaming now, and you find yourself stuck to her, or maybe it is the other way around.
[] Tendrils connect the back of her head to you. [] You find yourself stuck to the back of a formerly flailing humanoid. [] The left side of the fool have been replaced with a monster. That is you. Arguments could be made that there are only one being here, and that is a monster, but that is obviously bogus. [] Did you say stuck? You aren't stuck, there is nothing left to be stuck to, now there is just more you. [] Eh, it is eerily dark in here, isn't it?

[X] Assimilation.
The fool is no more.
A new being stands in its stead, a being made living plant flesh feasting on the light entering the cellar through the sun gem attached to the ceiling.
Useful artifacts, sun stones. Delicious too.
You note that the laboratory does not seem to contain much of anything apart from what you have already gazed upon, which you can now. Gaze that is. You idly turn back to the reflective surface on the door, a mirror, inscribed with glyphs along its edges, knowledge gleaned directed from the former living humanoid's mind.
You admire yourself while pondering your next move. You look appalling a lot like the fool that just died. Humanoid, but with dark green orbs of gelatine instead of eyes, and the skin have taken a decidedly greenish tint. The hair have been replaced with long vines, adorned with green and red leaves, it nearly touches the ground. You cut quite the unimposing figure.
Clearly staying here will not be an option, seeing as illegal magical experiments isn't healthy for your career if you are employed by the local government, which the Magistrate is.
[] Try to pry the Sun Gem from the ceiling, it is useful to us. (12) [] Search the room for anything that might prove useful. [] Search the mind of the apprentice further, there might be useful information. [] Interact with the other plants in the room. [] Break through the door.
Alright, now to explain the rolling system. There will be two kinds of dice rolls in this Quest. Player Rolls and Situation Rolls.
Situation rolls are rolled by me, and the only thing you will ever see of them is the effect they have on the next installment. The breaking free scene had one, and it determined how many apprentices were present, whether the Magistrate were present, or in an extreme case, whether you broke free as the lab were raided by the local militia. For reference - [] Search the room for anything that might prove useful. - And - [] Search the mind of the apprentice further, there might be useful information. - Have situational rolls attached to them.
Next are player rolls. They work by the inforum dice system, which is accessed through the detailed reply system, which can be accessed at the top of the thread. Click the dice square and input 1-20, and you are good to go. Now, every time a choice with an attached number is chosen you should roll a 1d20, if two other people chose that option as well, and also roll, the choice will be picked and the win/fail state will depend on what all three got divided by three. Lets say Ben rolls 3, Jessie rolls 15, and Amy rolls 19, they will then get added together and divided. Like so. (3 + 15 + 19) / 3 = 12 + 1/3
Only the first three votes will be averaged, after the first three dicerolls, any further rolls is unnecessary.

[X] Search the mind of the apprentice further, there might be useful information. Surely the whelp had something of use. [X] Search the room for anything that might prove useful. Perhaps there will be some means to protect yourself, when it comes to that.
