Ash joins the group heading towards the hut, well join was the wrong word. She was behind them and off to the side, far enough off that she could hardly be considered with them, except that she was going in the same direction. She did agree no point in sticking around, the hut was the best candidate for clues to their current predicament. As she moved she used the end of her tail to obscure her trail and spread her scent around. This group seems surprisingly reasonable, that could be useful.

Conduit followed the group, keeping an eye out for trouble, her flame still active. Atleast they could get this done... well hopefully. She couldn't get a read on some of the people. Saga she knew some of, mostly rumors, but aside from that she knew nothing.

"I'll certainly let you take the lead should any fighting break out, but I think I have a better chance at getting in than you do. At the very least, I would like to have the first shot at them. Unless violence breaks out."
She glanced up briefly at the blistering sunlight overhead. "Or unless we're still in the sunlight...you know what? Maybe I should go ahead and let you go first. But if you can bring me any of the guards alive, I would appreciate it."
Attacking armed and prepared guards under bright sunlight...These are some of the worst conditions for my powers I can imagine...how much does our employer really know about us? Micah thought, her brow furrowed in worry.

Letting his frustration billow out, Herne replies "It's about time we did something!". He then proceeds to walking mockingly slow, taking in the scenery as though he was on a nature hike.

The treck down to the valley beneath the cliffface proves quite arduous, as there is barely a path, and it is obviously not made for humans to tread comfortably - or tread at all.
The whole time, there seems to be no movement down near the hut, and as they come closer, the only thing that changes is the light - noon passes, and the sun blazes less cruelly - though it is still not nearly comfortable. Before Jim's senses, a long shaft down into the Earth unfolds, soon connecting to a larger complex beneath made of dense, reinforced concrete. Shafts and smaller adjacent buildings extend even deeper into the ground, and the picture grows more and more indistinct the deeper it gets. He can feel a strange hum in the Earth, making the image he gets fuzzy, slightly unclear.
The building itself looks, from the outside, to be barely big enough for a single room. It is made of the same reinforced concrete that Jim can feel below, though covered by a front that makes it look much more shabby and run-down, with a rusted metal roof. The door looks just as rusted and useless, but proves to be quite professionally made. There are no obvious means by which to unlock it.

Pitfall remained silent most of the way down to the hut, and even after getting to the door the only thing he said was
Inside though his mind raced. He had known about the complex, felt it down in the earth from afar, but did not know how big it was. Additionally he had no idea how he would be able to fight inside the large tubes, since it would require more time to create traps out of this material... Later Jim. One thing after the other, for now we don't have to fight, although its pretty likely we will be fighting down there, you don't know if there is someone at all. So now lets see if someone here is able to open the door. not that he couldn't create a new entrance besides it, no. He just wanted to see how the others would handle this.

From Pitfall's tone Schlock had a feeling he knew something about what might be inside. Some kind of perception ability maybe. Well, he had something like that himself.
"I might be able to do something" He said. He knew he sounded cocky, but hey, he was confident that he would be okay. "Just need to check something first."
Moving forward carefully, keeping his body as far back as possible he approached the hut, checking for security systems that needed to be bypassed. If he found none he'd slip a tendril under or around the door and open it from the inside.

Sage knew her sword could cut the door open, no problem, but didn't say anything. she just stood there in the group, hiding what she could do. it wasn't time to reveal her sword, no one living had seen what it could do and she would like to keep it that way.
she took a step back as Schlock moved forward.

The slimy one seemed to have the door covered, which was good. Ash certainly couldn't open it. Something was odd about this hut, it was far to sturdy looking, it would prove very troublesome.

The door is airtight - no room to slip though, though it certainly doesn't look airtight at a glance.

Schlock retreats away from the door "No luck, it's airtight, can't get a tendril through"
'Well, so much for that idea' he thinks, 'I'm impressed, this is obviously a pretty secure facility, strange that I didn't sense anything watching me though.'

"Don't suppose anyone can destroy one of the walls from a distance? I suspect that whoever made the airtight was bound to leave an alarm or a trap." Conduit said looking over the door. Going through that was asking for trouble. She looked over at Sage, eyes going to the sword. "Can that thing cut through the wall?"

Saga look at conduit and fiddled with her sword. She took a moment to think, yes the sword could cut through the wall but then those people would know and as soon as someone knew, the secret would get out. The days of being a ghost, living behind the sight of all, would fade and she would be dragged into the light of day. the sun and sand didn't really help with the decision making. armour is hot, add a cape and the big glowing orb of burn-y heat and it was a recipe for a soggy myth. She drew the sword, lovingly stroking the carefully forged metal, it had taken months to find all the rare coins to melt down. the precisely engraved glyphs and the smooth leather and wire handgrip, all crafted to exact specifications, almost shone in the bright light. this was sword of her gods, all of them had put a bit of their power into it. it was the best for showing their might, but it showed saga's too. looking from face to face, she didn't know these people, she didn't owe them. why should she risk her safety? her low profile was carefully planned, and maintained by some very juicy informations being perfectly leveraged against powerful people. the thought of how she had managed that made her smile, but it quickly faded in the expectant face of the group. best get it over with. Saga did a slow gentle turn of the wrist, loosening it, then swung the sword at the wall.

The sword cuts through the wall without trouble. After a few cuts, the door drops out, revealing an empty room, with a shaft opening, leading into total blackness.
As soon as they enter, a nearby communication console flares to life - a symbol, a black D in a circle. "Hello? Is someone there?" said a mechanic voice - it was female, but just barely so. "Can anyone here me? The cameras are offline, I'm blind! Please, there's trouble here!"

Conduit frowns. What to do? Was this their target? If not it could be someone who DID know who the target was. She pressed the comm. button. "We're here to help. What kind of trouble?" Lying was easy when no one knew who you were... and the self-admitted blindness was a boon.
