Felix Flux
Civilian ID: Giles Jones-Thompson
Background:
Only child and heir to the Jones-Thompson airplane wing fabric imperium. It’s fairly easy to imagine that Giles’ father wanted a son. You take want you can get, however, especially when your wife died in childbirth.
Growing up was a lesson upon lesson in baseball, action movies and nature excursions for Giles and when she wasn’t traveling with her dad on business, she was spending time at the family house being bored out of her mind and getting into trouble, teasing and pranking the hired help in ever more creative and unexpected ways.
Trigger:
On Giles fifteen year old birthday, her dad took her with him on a business trip to a seaside freightport in the remains of Mexico, the whole country having mostly fallen into the sea forming another canal through the middle of the American continents. During their stay, local gangs, cartels and factions started a turf war on the outskirts of the port city. Not counting on the conflict to stay there and not escalate into the rest of the city. They sought refuge on the container ship carrying goods to be delivered on the west coast, her father having connections with the company possessing the ship. This should prove to be a mistake, since a band of enterprising young villains had chosen to seize the ship and its’ goods, using the distraction from the ongoing battle in the outskirts to slip past the notice of port authorities and the pier guard forces. Quickly subduing the crew and passengers, the villains locked them in independent rooms and then retreated toward the cargo bay seizing up their catch and leaving their unpowered lackeys to guard the prisoners.
Having been locked up in a room by herself with just a few cleaning supplies she overheard the henchman planning on making “use” of the prisoners, reacting somewhat calmly to this, she began checking the supply room she was locked in for ways of making her escape. As the sounds of the minions got closer as they worked their way through the other prisoners, Giles got more desperate to get out of there. Trying in vain to use a couple of nails to open a simple KiK lock, she manifests from the frustration of her attempt at lockpicking not being successful.
