So more than a cleansing fire it's more of an attack that weaken those perceived as ennemies and buff those perceived as allies?

Seems so. To clarify Paladin's toughness, it's more of a body thing (similar to the high level Physique). So thicker and tougher skin rather than nigh-invulnerability and no regenerating things that can't normally heal (such as lost limb or eye). The stamina was added because it makes sense if his body is improving physical like a super animal or something.

Short term, yes. The purefire can heal him over time though it takes longer with big injuries or doesn't work at all. After leveling up more he'll be able to heal more in a shorter time frame.

I think we should end this session with Beowulf running off with White Kitsune pursuing while Paladin captures the supervillain. Then next Wednesday we pick up in the in-game evening when Beowulf returns to the UH building after meeting his friend. 51-1004yb3oyEt

Hey guys. About the Star Forges characters, since Beowulf and Paladin just had a show down with each other, I thinking that it might be consider an appropriate point to roll to see if they level up. While it wasn't a physical encounter, their two similar yet very different mentalities clashed against each other (a mental level up rather than a physical one). It fits in well with the powers being mental as well as physical theme of the Brennusverse and I want the levels of Beowulf and Paladin reasonably high when Ortho shows up so I'm not going to skip any opportunities to level them up.

And since neither of you is online, I'm going to use my GM privileges to say that it was a mental level up for Beowulf and Paladin on a roll of d100 at 50 or higher. Paladin:a5XR9FkZ51-100Beowulf: 51-1001-100·1-100

Both Paladin and Beowulf levelled up after their confrontation. As a result, Paladin moved up a Tier to 4 Paragon while Beowulf moved up to 3 Exemplar. Paladin Nightmare Roll (51+): VHjjMTeJ51-100 Beowulf Nightmare Roll (51+): 1-100 Paladin Quasar Roll (91+):1-100 1-100·1-100·1-100·1-100

Both Beowulf and Paladin got a nightmare, but Paladin's power didn't become sentient.

Seriously! Beowulf got a second Dream of Fantasia! AceOfSpade may be on to something when he suggested Beowulf secretly had superluck. But seriously, I used the forum dice so nobody can accuse me of favouritism. Paladin Nightmare: The Dead - Your power has a high risk of collateral damage or it is hard to use in non-lethal ways. Paladin Dream: Yourself - Your power changes and improves your body. One of your powers is the Physique Power. If you have no Physique, you gain it at Level 1, if you already have it, it rises by one Tier. You benefit from the Adonis Trait. If you roll this more than once, you become more and more beautiful (add the DV modifier again and increase the Tier) - Paladin's Physique is now Adonis 7 Apex. Beowulf's Nightmare: Now here is a problem. Beowulf is already has the Adonis Trait, but this would make him a Chimera. I'm going to roll another dice 1-49 for Chimera and 50+ for Adonis ( SWAEjt181-100) So Beowulf still has Adonis, but now at 6 Paragon. Beowulf's Dream:Now onto the Dream of Fantasia all of his powers are at the top of his tier so that one doesn't matter. For his extra dreams ( 1-41, 1-41, 1-41) 1-100·1-41·1-41·1-41

So Beowulf got Flying, Love and Life. I'll got with Flying and Life. Flying will let Beowulf greater control over super strength and senses as he can now scale them back while letting him pick and chose what powers he nullifies or copies. I also suppose it gives greater control on what Gadgets he built. Life means that his Gadgets can easily be used by others.
Now to counter the weak Nightmare and second Dream of Fantasia, I'm giving Beowulf the Nightmare of Bane.

Paladin moved up a tier so he as to roll to see if he moves up a Derangement grade.
Paladin Derangement Roll (75): |yqYx3CN1-100
And Paladin doesn't move up a derangement grade. 1-100

Ok, that all looks fine. Brief question though: for future upgrades, do the increased Physiques of both Beowulf and Paladin go up as well or do we wait until the other powers catch up before upgrading them?

Also, I updated Paladin's profile with his new and improved abilities. For the Dead nightmare: Paladin's purefire will burn normal humans (evil ones) extremely quickly and has a high chance of lethality of he isn't extremely careful. Basically, Paladin will be using his newly enhanced strength, speed, and toughness more against foes who can't take the purefire.
