Sure. But Paladin wouldn't have overheard their conversation, only seen them running off.***Paladin trails along behind the two vigilantes, wondering what they are up to.

Got it. ***
"Hey, idiots!" I call out. I'd been following them for a while now, wondering what they were doing. "Thanks for leaving me at the Brock's house. Allison wasn't home and David wouldn't talk to me, so I left. What're you two doing out here?"
I jog the last few steps to catch up.

"Seven henchmen left, and the others are going to fight with desperation, knowing they're not allowed to flee..."
I took my mask off, just long enough to make a few adjustment, then I put it back on and one of Grendels helmet on top of it, the adjustment were to allow the helmet to fit over the mask.
"Any idea for against the speedster? Do you have a battle plan?"
I jumped a bit when Paladin catched up to us.
"Grendel has a history of taking out his frustration against women and children after a defeat, and he's never been weaker, we have to try and give him the coup de grace now"

"Finishing off Grendel while he is at his weakest," explains Beowulf with no hint of the fact he was planning to ditch the superhero, "I did tell you I was going to kill Grendel and I know how you UH heroes are against killing."
As Beowulf finishes speaking, the purple flash leaves the building, this time carrying something pink and black, and flees down the road out of sight. A raging Grendel bursts out of the building, crashing through the wall.

My breath hitched slightly in excitement. "Good idea. Don't forget guys, someone slit one of the henchman's throats back at the battle site, and we still don't know if it was a new metahuman. Be on the lookout. And let me handle the speedster, I've got a few ideas." I watch Grendel burst through the wall and conjure my purefire, running towards him.
"FREEZE! YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!" I shout.

Grendel turns to look at the group and lets out a guttural growl.
"You die Silver!" screams the supervillain and he charges.
"No, you will die father!" Beowulf yells back as he tosses his broken sword aside.

Father!? Oh what the hell...
Looking at the other two rushing in I didn't knew what to do. My bombs weren't precise enough but maybe I could handicap Grendel with a big block of ice clinging to his face before they made contact? I got an Ice paper bomb out and tossed it at the supervillain's head.

Father? Could this be more cliched? I think as I run towards Grendel. A small white blob flies through the air over my head, zooming towards Grendel. I stop suddenly and gather the purefire around me and spray it in a wave of fire that comes up to Grendel's knees (and Beowulf's waist).
*** Also a quick heads up, I gotta leave in a half hour. Not sure for how long you guys were planning on going. ***

For those that haven't read Beowulf's background, his father is Grendel and he manifested after almost dying and then surviving one of Grendel's beatings. *** Beowulf activates his paper shield and draws his spare sword as Grendel changes his focus to him. But then White Kitsune's ice paper bomb hits Grendel in the head, encasing the villain's head in ice (10+6+3 versus 18) while Paladin's fire burns his feet and lower legs (13+2+5 versus 18). He roars in anger once again as he stumbles and falls. *** I got to go in about half an hour as well.

That worked! Yes!
I started moving forward, getting a yellow bomb out, activating it and throwing it a Grendel.
Wearing a metal armour and electricity, bad combination...

I flank to the right to let Beowulf and White Kitsune close in, spraying more purefire at Grendel's prone form, aiming at his remaining arms and legs. I don't completely use all that I had conjured like the last attack, swirling some of it about me in the air and on the ground.

The electricity fires both Grendel and his armour (10+6+3 versus 16) while the purefire puts all six of Grendel's limbs on fire (17+3+5 versus 18). Beowulf moves in for the kill, but Grendel gurgles and his eyes roll back into his head as blood pools around the back of his head.
"What on Earth happened?" demands Beowulf as he comes to a halt less than a metre away from Grendel.

I got as close as I could without stepping into the fire.
"Don't tell me he got his throat slashed too? We were all watching him, we'd have noticed the blur if it'd been the speedster."

I immediately increase the amount of purefire around me, swirling it in a tightly formed cyclone. "Be careful. There's still the Unknown Metahuman. Grendel might regenerate too." I bring a concentrated burst of purefire up to surround my head and face. Maybe I can detect the metahuman, I think. The purefire can protect me from most control and perception powers, if someone's using one to hide, I may be able to see them.
