What season is it going to be by the way? I did some research and apparently depending on the period there may not be that much snow around. I'm assuming Einn's Burrow is a town in the south of Alaska, not too far from the Pacific Ocean.

Einn's Burrow is north of Anchorage with a port. In my mind, I just pictured the season as early September (Late Summer/Early Autumn).

Is it a lake port or on the Knick Arm? Either way it's probably in the zone were the climate is a little bit warmer than the rest

I'm going to say lake port. Honestly I was thinking more about the town itself than the surrounding area. But good call on asking all these questions. I wouldn't have thought of them otherwise.

I'm looking around on google map and look like there is quite a bit of snow after all... wait what are those lines on the lakes? Are those roads? They look like roads... are people driving on the frozen lakes? Alaska is weird...

Yeah, people drive on frozen lakes all the time, not just in Alaska. I've been on 5 or 6 myself.

On a completely separate note, I won't be able to participate tomorrow unless we move the time two hours earlier or three hours later. Sorry, but I've got a one-time obligation and I just learned there isn't any wifi nor cell service there so I can't join in. It's fine if those times don't work for anybody else, you guys can still run the game without me.

Two hours before could be tricky for me, depends on other stuff. Three hours later I can do, thought I might have to pause the game to have dinner with the family.
On a related note how much time do you expect the session to last? My tabletop games have often lasted five or six hours and by forum post the action may be slower (or not considering how much time is usually lost arguing out of character about what to do)

I don't know how long it will last, but I figured we would just continue until we had a good point to stop (such as someone having to go in real life). I can also do the three hours later on Wednesday by the way.

Ok then, it's decided. Three hours later tomorrow.

As for arguing out of character, we don't have a bunch of complicated rules to reference and as GM, I'll go for what makes the most sense.

This might have been asked already, but what are you going to use for the rolls? Just the standard 1d20 + modifiers?

I also have a bunch of relevant notes on hand. Would you like me to go for fast paced game or a slow one? I was thinking fasted pace fighting (as in not dragging out for ages) while the talking between characters and NPCs would be at slower pace.

I like the fast paced combat and the slow paced dialogue idea.

For rolls, I'll roll a D20 plus the relevant trait modifier and a varying modifier for the depending on whether they are using their powers, what powers they are using and how those powers fit into the situation and how the characters are using their powers. For example, Grendel attacking David with his super strength would be 16+10+8 for a total of 34 versus 30 (36 while David is protecting family). This would result in Grendel getting in a good punch and hurting David, but not taking him down.
